Sales Manager (New opening)

We are currently recruiting a proven and passionate Sales Manager to drive sales and maximise revenue at this brand new Moxy by Marriott.

As we prepare for our grand opening, we are seeking a dynamic, passionate and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts. This role is pivotal in positioning the hotel in the market, driving revenue, and ensuring a successful launch.

This role involves establishing relationships with key clients, securing new business opportunities and working closely with the General Manager to ensure the hotel's offerings align with market demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local companies, travel agencies, corporate accounts, and other stakeholders including the Marriott Global Sales team.
  • To plan and organise schedule of sales appointments with potential customers across all relevant market segments.
  • Identify new business opportunities including group & transient accounts.
  • To initiate pre-opening sales drives, promotions etc., in line with the Sales and Marketing plan.
  • Work with the senior hotel management team to deliver strategic business plans, inclusive of an annual Sales Plan, aligned with hotel objectives and budget.
  • Attend tradeshows and industry events, host FAM & press trips and arrange client hotel events as required.
  • Complete monthly, weekly and annual reporting as required.
  • Manage annual RFP process for each individual targeted account including account and market intelligence and pricing recommendations to maximise hotel profitability and secure travel programme inclusion.
  • To have extensive knowledge of the brand standards, corporate products, and rate programmes which form the Moxy brand, and to promote and use these products & programmes at all times to the advantage of the property.
  • To be aware of relevant competitor information and market changes and to recommend/initiate changes in our services as necessary.
  • To be aware of all forthcoming events in the area, which may have sales opportunities and get involved at an early stage to ensure that Moxy Dublin Docklands is a key benefactor of such events.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of two years' experience in a hotel sales role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local market and the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multitask.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Valid driving license.
