Job Summary:

We have an open position for an Accounts Assistant in our Dublin office. Reporting into the Vice President, you will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Duties:
  • Accurate booking of client accounts into the AW reinsurance system
  • Arranging claim and broker payment requests
  • Updating cash books, reconciliation, and allocation of cash received/paid
  • Monitoring reinsurance premium receivable and following up with brokers on overdue items
  • Running monthly and quarterly reinsurance reports
  • Producing monthly and quarterly production reports for Underwriting
  • Ensuring compliance with established internal controls and procedures
  • Performing additional ad-hoc/analytical duties as required
  • Liaising with various groups within and outside the organization, including Underwriting, Brokers, internal and external audit
  • Disaster recovery and testing of reinsurance system upgrades
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
  • Initiative-taking and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Maintaining professionalism, integrity, and trust
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong diligence, excellent analytical, and effective communication skills
  • Good collaboration skills with flexibility to grow as responsibilities increase
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Excel
  • The role would suit a graduate, someone with insurance/reinsurance experience, or someone working towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA (not a requirement)
