Contentful is looking for an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of critical infrastructure and internal platform development initiatives within our Infrastructure group.

Our customer base is growing at a fast pace, and our platform serves billions of API requests every single day. Our Infrastructure group improves existing capabilities and innovates on what's next for the cloud-native, AWS infrastructure layer of our enterprise-ready, highly scalable, reliable, and compliant content platform that powers the next generation of digital experiences. This group also owns the build, test, and deployment infrastructure to provide the best possible experience for all Contentful engineers.

In this role, you'll work closely with two Infrastructure and Engineering Productivity teams to build scalable, reliable, and compliant infrastructure as well as make Contentful engineers productive and engaged by providing frameworks, building automation, and integrating external solutions for a unified, frictionless development lifecycle.

What to expect?

• Own and understand the scalability and reliability needs of our external customers as well as the needs and pain points of internal Contentful Engineers. Then size, prioritize, and work with the cross-functional teams to envision and build the very best solutions.
• Drive your product roadmap and set goals & key success metrics.
• Work with engineering and data teams on strategy and execution to make sure we are delivering developer experience products and services that are fast, efficient and reliable, balancing short-term priorities and longer-term strategic needs.
• Collaborate with Research, Data Analysts, Security & GRC, and Engineers to define, scope, and deliver the right outcomes iteratively.
• Work with the Contentful management team to define and pitch investment cases for the opportunities you discover.
• Communicate broadly to the Product Development organization about upcoming plans and opportunities, and be an evangelist for your team's mission.
• Contribute to an inclusive PM culture that shares user insights, learnings, and research findings early, often, and well.
• Produce and share thought-leadership content in the area of infrastructure and developer experience.
  
  

What you need to be successful

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management or a similar role or responsibility
• Strong technical background and hands-on experience in software development
• Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure products and delivering capabilities and services for customers and internal users
• Experience working with PaaS and/or SaaS for enterprises and have a good understanding of enterprise requirements when it comes to scalability, reliability, compliance, and security
• Experience building internal developer platform products
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring a cohesive product experience that aligns with business goals, technical constraints, and compliance requirements
• Collaborative and approachable, able to facilitate a collaborative environment and establish trust with cross-functional teams
• Firsthand experience leading user research, both generative and evaluative
• Great communicator, comfortable in explaining technical concepts to customers, partners, and internal audiences
• Experience working with Marketing and Sales in supporting go-to-market strategies
• Experience working within compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, SOX, etc.) preferred
