We"re looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our Galway office and play a key role in supporting our global team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who"s passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to make a real impact.
ResponsibilitiesYour Responsibilities:
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Resolve issues with M365 apps, Windows/macOS workstations, and connectivity
- Provide first- and second-line support via phone, chat, or onsite
- Assist with VPN and remote desktop setups
- Asset & Access Management
- Manage hardware/software inventory and user permissions
- Support onboarding/offboarding, including account setup and workstation delivery
- Security & Maintenance
- Ensure antivirus and endpoint protection are up to date
- Assist with patching, audits, and preventive maintenance
- Training & Documentation
- Educate users on IT best practices and tools
- Document troubleshooting steps and system configurations
We"re not looking for perfection—we're looking for potential. If you have 1-2 years of experience and a strong desire to grow, we"d love to hear from you.
- CompTIA or Microsoft fundamentals certification (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and ideally Ubuntu Linux
- Experience with ticketing systems and basic network/software troubleshooting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, curious mindset and a love for problem-solving
- Interest in scripting (PowerShell/Bash) is a plus
