We are currently seeking a Global Director of Financial Business Partnering to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Director of Financial Business Partnering at ICON you will be instrumental in providing strategic financial guidance and support to key stakeholders, driving informed decision-making and contributing to the financial success of our organization.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Oversee assigned business unit portfolio P&L and work with operational leadership on a daily basis to manage the business.
  2. Develop, prepare and maintain monthly financial forecasts including budget reconciliations and supporting analysis for your business unit portfolio.
  3. Lead financial and margin initiatives with senior leadership to maximize revenue and profitability.
  4. Analyze business unit financial results and key performance indicators including the preparation of monthly & quarterly reporting packages and commentary.
  5. Work with Operational leadership and their senior leadership team to develop and build annual budgets.
  6. Make recommendations to business unit management for optimizing financial performance and achieving financial targets.
  7. Present business case studies to senior leadership in support of capital expenditures.
  8. Present monthly forecast and business unit metrics to senior leadership team.
  9. Align with Commercial Affairs in support of material pricings and partnership opportunities.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost efficiencies, and revenue optimization, and driving initiatives to achieve financial targets.
  11. Providing leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  12. Finance lead for ad hoc project work in business unit.

Your Profile:

  1. Qualified Financial Professional aligned to Irish body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Ireland).
  2. Experience managing large teams.
  3. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  4. Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, business partnering, and strategic financial management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or contract research organization (CRO) industry.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and formulate actionable recommendations.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  7. Proven leadership and management skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
