Salary: €60,000 - €65,000 depending on experience.

Location: Drumcondra, Co Dublin. This role involves a combination of on-site duties as well as tasks performed in various external settings as required.

Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in developing and fostering meaningful connections between Vision Ireland and a diverse range of stakeholders. The Business Development Manager will partner with Vision Ireland's internal stakeholders to lead and generate new business, organise and attend events to generate new partnerships and promote Vision Ireland's services as a whole.

The successful candidate will be passionate about social change regarding accessibility, can navigate complex project work and holds the ability to operate in a politically sensitive, fast-growing, and rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute community engagement projects and events, collecting insights to inform effective project planning and decision-making.
  • Analyse engagement outcomes to present findings and recommendations for further actions.
  • Lead and generate new business for the wider Vision Ireland organisation including the Vision Van, The Wayfinding Centre and other aspects of the organisation.
  • Be responsible for the full business development, across all our services and other areas of Vision Ireland including a large portion of time with The Wayfinding Centre and cross-selling partnership with businesses to explore the depth of opportunity.
  • Selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
  • Identify and create new referral partners to generate new clients across the group.
Selection CriteriaSkills And Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Business Development Role.
  • Understanding of the role BDs play in the lead generation context.
  • Proactive and continuous improvement mindset, particularly when it comes to rapidly evolving processes and structures.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide as required.
  • Proven track record of revenue directions.
  • Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
  • Proven experience growing or scaling a company's customer base.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience and understanding of disability supports is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working within a start-up environment an advantage.

Education & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or discipline related to this position.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
