As DAF Trucks Ireland continues to grow its brand, we are looking to expand our successful sales team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within DAF to offer the position of Regional Sales Manager for the Dublin and surrounding region. This is an excellent opportunity to work within DAF and the OHM group.

We are seeking a candidate with the right skills and experience, along with the ability to sell the complete range of DAF Trucks and services in line with our "Total Solutions" strategy. Attitude and ability to get the job done are key requirements for this important role.

The ideal candidate will have skills and knowledge in the Transport or Logistics Industries and be familiar with B2B sales at a senior level. Building and developing long-term relationships with customers will be a crucial part of your role.

Key experience and skills include:

  • Proven ability to sell the complete range of DAF trucks, products, and services in line with the Total Solutions Strategy, exceeding regional business plan targets.
  • Ability to prepare and implement regional strategies to market and sell DAF products and services effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt strategies based on market conditions and product/service changes.
  • Ensuring maximum customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Effective management and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to prospect and maintain customer relationships.
  • Identifying and contacting potential new DAF customers in the region.
  • Providing timely and accurate quotations using group systems.
  • Participating in sales meetings and business reviews to exchange ideas, leads, and information.
  • Managing costs and credit control proactively to maximize profit growth.
  • Attending and supporting customer events, including those outside Ireland or outside normal hours, as required.
  • Working in accordance with DAF standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in sales within a commercial vehicle or related environment
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, building customer relationships, and developing sales strategies
  • Knowledge of the commercial vehicle market, trends, and competitors
  • Understanding of market and business needs, ensuring vehicle specifications meet requirements
  • Familiarity with the customer order process from order to delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with customers and colleagues
