Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facility Maintenance and Management:
    • Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of all facilities.
    • Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation.
    • Coordinate and manage all facility-related services and activities to ensure efficient operations.
    • Engage and manage third-party service providers.
    • Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost-effectiveness of services.
    • Conduct regular evaluations of vendor performance.
  2. Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage the facilities budget.
    • Monitor expenses and make adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.
  3. Space Planning:
    • Manage office space allocation and planning.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and functionality.
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Implement and manage health, safety, and environmental policies.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and drills.
  5. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage the facilities team.
    • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  6. Project Management:
    • Plan and oversee renovations, refurbishments, and building projects.
    • Coordinate and manage timelines, budgets, and resources for projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in facility management software (e.g., FMX, Hippo CMMS).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
