Registrar/Fellow in Paediatric Sepsis

The Successful Candidate Will Be Required To Commence Immediately.

Responsibilities include:
  • Implement Sepsis 6 Protocols across paediatric departments, including paediatric wards, ED and perioperative care.
  • Develop a bundle of care for paediatric sepsis including: screening and recognition tools, monitoring and reassessment, comprehensive management plan, antimicrobial guidelines, parent information.
  • Develop interdisciplinary education.
  • Ensure compliance with sepsis training across the department.
  • Develop and run SIM scenarios in paediatric sepsis.
  • Identify and monitor metrics for paediatric sepsis.
  • Develop quality improvement initiatives across the paediatrics department.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements:
  • Medical Degree (MB BCh BAO or equivalent).
  • Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills.
  • Experience in paediatric research and quality improvement.
  • At least 2-years post graduate.
  • At least 1-year of clinical paediatric experience.
