Securitas Security Services are currently recruiting a full-time, fixed term Construction Security Officer to be based in Dun Laoghaire. A valid Safe pass is essential for this position.

*The pay rate is €18.38 per hour*

Summary:

Identify and escalate issues according to policies. Perform access control to protect assets and property. Provide customer service, loss prevention, incident response, and report safety/security incidents.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide access control for the construction site.
  • Coordinate and oversee traffic management.
  • Complete shift activity and incident reports.
  • Maintain presence and visibility at posts; ensure proper relief.
  • Inspect access gates; ensure they are used by authorized personnel.
  • Report suspicious activities or security breaches.
  • Perform patrols as outlined in Post Orders.
  • Communicate openly and honestly; provide information as requested.
  • Perform duties as required for the site.
  • Follow safe work practices and company policies.
  • Meet licensing and certification requirements.
  • Knowledge of security operations, supervisory practices, and computer skills.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and cultural interaction skills.
  • Ability to lead, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Full-time 36 hours/week, with up to 48 hours possible.
