We're seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the UK&I finance function. You will provide critical insights and strategic direction to the Board, manage financial risks, and ensure our systems and controls are fit for purpose as we continue to grow.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance leader to make a tangible impact and help position the business for long-term success.
Responsibilities:- Lead and develop the finance team of 4
- Form a close working relationship with the MD, CFO, and other Senior Management
- Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy to optimize the Group's financial performance and strategic position, and assist in achieving Company EBITA targets
- Take overall control of the company's accounting function
- Contribute to the development of UK&I strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions, providing financial analysis and guidance on activities, plans, targets, and drivers
- Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans
- Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company's cash management policies
- Prepare and present monthly and annual accounts to the Board of Directors and auditors
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals, and acquisitions as appropriate
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical and strategic skills
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally with group or multi-site exposure
- Tech-savvy with excellent Excel and MS Office proficiency
- Highly organized, analytical, and commercially aware
- Strong leadership presence with excellent communication skills across all levels
