Overview

Café / Kitchen Assistant at Kiltipper Woods Care Centre, Dublin 24. Part-time role within the Kitchen Team.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of the coffee shop.
  • Maintain comprehensive menu, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all HACCP, Health & Safety and Food Safety Management procedures are maintained to the required standards, including food temperatures, date recordings, and correct storage of food.
  • Clean and prepare the Coffee Shop and outside eating area to deliver high-quality service.
  • Assist in dish and menu development and planning; participate in evaluating new recipes and products.
  • Present food and dishes creatively.
  • Assist in ordering, cost control, and wastage management of food.
  • Follow strict rules of personal hygiene.
  • Prepare food and beverages following standardised recipes and procedures.
  • Estimate daily food needs for the coffee shop and replenish food and beverage levels as appropriate.
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold dishes, sandwiches, and confectioneries.
  • Plan and maintain storage and use of leftovers and uncooked food.
  • Ensure adequate stock of crockery, cutlery and napkins.
Ideal candidate
  • Ability to work efficiently and keep calm under pressure.
  • Stamina and enthusiasm; ability to work well in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High standards of personal hygiene.
  • Passionate interest in food and catering.
  • Food Hygiene Training is desirable.
  • Must possess a valid work permit.
