Element Six is seeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead our Quality Team in our Shannon manufacturing site, reporting directly to the site General Manager. I
n this pivotal role, you will be responsible for upholding our quality standards, ensuring compliance with all contractual and company obligations, and maintaining the highest levels of quality across our operations. You will provide strategic direction and the necessary tools to enhance our Quality Management System, driving the achievement of our quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management:
- Establish and communicate clear, measurable quality objectives that align with our organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Develop comprehensive quality plans that address both internal standards and specific customer requirements for products and processes.
Customer Focus and Feedback:
- Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries regarding quality issues, ensuring effective and timely communication.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, utilizing root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
- Integrate customer feedback into our quality processes to drive continuous improvement and ensure we meet evolving needs
- Collaborate closely with customers to translate their requirements into actionable quality enhancements.
Quality Control and Assurance:
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer specifications.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, including ISO 9001, as well as customer-driven requirements.
Documentation and Records Management:
- Maintain comprehensive records, including quality manuals, procedures, inspection records, and corrective actions, ensuring transparency and accessibility for customers.
- Prepare for internal and external audits by keeping accurate documentation and collaborating with customers to address any quality control concerns.
- Work with Production teams to ensure all relevant training documentation is current and compliant with regulatory and company standards.
The role might be for you if you have the following:
- Degree in Science, Quality, or Engineering (Level 8 preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven expertise in Quality Engineering, Assurance, and Systems.
- Strong understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience managing audits and inspections, acting as the quality site lead.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer interaction and communication skills, with a strong advocate for Element Six’s quality standards
- Proven capability to tackle complex quality issues with a structured, analytical approach.
