Senior Technical Architect Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to oversee technology architecture projects, aligning IT systems with business objectives. The role involves strategic leadership and collaboration to support digital transformation initiatives. Job Responsibilities Define and manage the organisation's technology architecture, encompassing software, databases, infrastructure, and release management. Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies, platforms, and tools for scalable, high-performance solutions. Ensure alignment of IT systems with organisational goals and digital transformation strategies. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and proposals. Deliver and present technical designs, highlighting preferred technology stacks, cloud deployments, and database platforms. Provide leadership and mentorship to technical teams, ensuring compliance with architectural standards and industry regulations. Address technical challenges and guide cross-functional teams through best practices in optimisation, scalability, and security. Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, identifying and mitigating architectural risks. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, recommending system and process improvements. Experience Required Minimum 3 years of experience in a Technical Architect or equivalent Senior IT role, with a strong foundation in system design and architecture. Demonstrated experience in executing end-to-end architecture for enterprises of varying scales. In-depth knowledge of data technologies, architecture best practices, and professional services industry processes. Strong understanding of cloud computing, Kubernetes, and containerisation, including experience with platforms such as SAP/ ERP systems, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP. Practical experience integrating ERP systems to other platforms. Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present technical concepts effectively. Desirable Skills Experience with enterprise architecture tools like LeanIX or similar TOGAF-based systems. Relevant certifications, such as TOGAF or AWS, are highly desirable. Strong familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-native development. Educational Requirements Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
