The successful candidate will report to the Local IT lead in Ireland with a dotted line to the Regional IT Manager UK & IRE. You will be a resourceful and proactive IT Administrator who will look after all aspects of IT for our production facility and offices in Dublin and Cork. This position will be based at the Dublin site with some requirement for travel to Cork site. Key Responsibilities Support from Central IT and the Corporate Call Centre, the role will be expected to support all Company owned technology including desktops, laptops, local servers, printers, software and mobile devices, provide 1st and 2nd level end user support. Monitor and respond to the IT Support Ticket stream raised by the Corporate Call Centre, prioritising appropriately, resolving in a timely manner or escalating as necessary whilst overseeing the resolution and keeping users updated Provide advice and guidance to users on the use of IT systems and software, translating technical information into easily understood language Provide IT training to the business according to Central IT guidelines Install, test, and configure appropriate hardware, software and functions according to specifications and directives from Central IT Maintain general tidiness of the IT workplace in the interests of health and safety Promote IT best practice and security awareness Set up new starters and configure & issue IT equipment Maintain asset registers for all IT Assets Manage return of IT equipment and IT asset disposal Be accountable and responsible for the analysis of alerts and defining corrective actions, including investigation and diagnosis of incidents, finding root cause or forwarding to third party support or Central IT Be responsible for the documentation of local infrastructure and local business applications Contribute to group-wide Central IT projects as appropriate at both local site and other regional sites Provide IT support for any internal or external events including setting up and testing equipment Be responsible for the rollout of new location infrastructure including servers, endpoints, network infrastructure and peripherals and the retirement of same Technical administration of Microsoft end user/Modern Workplace technologies including: Windows desktop and server (AD, DNS, DHCP), MS Office desktop apps, Office365. Oversee server room ensuring a stable environment sufficiently resourced, tidy and accessible Be accountable for maintaining local business applications (e.g. Database reorganisation, patch management, backup, etc.) Be accountable for the execution of security policies and site compliance with MM guidelines Grant access to IT facilities and maintain the stock of IT equipment Ensure, measure and increase customer (i.e. user) satisfaction Support the IT Infrastructure budget process for the site Profile description: Essential requirements Previous experience of working as an IT technician or in a relevant role Educated to degree standard specifically in IT or Computer Science Familiarity with database concepts especially in the Printing industry Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Excellent organisational and time management skills In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Certification as an IT Technician will be advantageous Experience with SAP and Success Factors Excellent knowledge of MS Office, servers, endpoints, network infrastructure, peripherals, Cisco and CompTIA Full Driving licence and own transport occasional travel to all UK&IRE sites and overnight stays where necessary. The ideal candidate Would be closer to Dublin than to Cork, since 2 of the 3 Irish sites are in Dublin. Be happy to travel within Ireland and occasionally to UK, possibly elsewhere in MM if required. Have their own transport and driving license Should enjoy helping people and fixing things Have worked in an IT Support role in UK/Ire previously Should be fluent in English and able to communicate with all users in UK/Ire.
