Applications invited for the following Post in the Technological University Dublin Post: Post-Doctoral Researcher ADAPT ARISE Human-in-the-Loop Adaptive Alarm Management & Explainable AI Decision Support School of Food Science & Environmental Health (Fixed term specified purpose Wholetime for up to 5 years with funding available for 12 months) Reference: 399/2025 Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght. Regular attendance at other sites will be required. Hours of Work:A 37 hour working week is in operation. Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Post-Doctoral Researcher Salary Scale i.e. €48,896 gross per annum. Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Incremental credit may apply in line with University policy. Closing Date: 5:00pm on 22nd September 2025. The interview assessment will be 50 minutes in length and will include a presentation of 10 minutes duration. Demonstrated research expertise in human-machine interaction, explainable AI, or safety-critical systems. Experience with empirical human performance data collection (e.g., eye tracking, physiological monitoring, workload assessments such as NASA-TLX). Knowledge of Bayesian networks Strong programming, data analysis, and modelling skills. Evidence of high-quality peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team. Desirable Previous participation in EU-funded or industry-collaborative projects.
