As a member of a newly established team, you will provide financial analytics and modelling to support Optum Rx Finance and Accounting operations. This team is responsible for initiatives that impact OptumRx's leading clients and the broader business, offering financial modelling and analysis related to major accounts, identifying key drivers of client financial outcomes and profitability, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement effective solutions. Principal duties include performing financial forecasting and modelling, leveraging data analytics to deliver insights into financial performance, trend drivers and supporting strategic projects via analytical expertise.

You will be technically accomplished with a quantitative mindset, a strong aptitude for complex problem-solving, and a keen eye for process improvement. Your curiosity will drive you to seek innovative ways to analyze data and challenge existing practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Leverage analytics and modelling insights to understand the factors driving client financial performance

- Collaborate with stakeholders and experts to ensure analyses address business needs, anticipating and solving issues proactively

- Support integration efforts for existing models and develop new models to support client scenarios analysis

- Efficiently deliver on ad-hoc analysis requests from a wide range of stakeholders

- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present findings clearly and effectively

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in relevant field (analytics, mathematics, economics, business, statistics, engineering, or finance) OR equivalent experience

- Knowledge of SQL, Databricks and/or Python, with the ability to perform effective and efficient querying involving multiple tables and subqueries

- Proven experience in analyzing and interpreting large volumes of data from disparate sources, with the ability to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the analyses

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in finance and financial modelling / forecasting

- Healthcare, PBM or Pharma experience

Soft Skills:

- Effective communication skills, able to collaborate with stakeholders from multiple levels and disciplines

- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail
