Investor Reporting Specialist Role

The Investor Reporting Specialist will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data, investment accounting functions and providing exceptional service to investors.

  1. Collaborate with investor/fund administrator, trade management and treasury teams to facilitate the receipt, disbursement, and reconciliation of borrower funds during a loan's pre-funding and funding period.
  2. Develop and prepare daily and periodic investment reports, including but not limited to valuations, investor remittance files and other financial statements while coordinating with both internal and external parties related to reporting.
  3. Work closely with Loan Services' operational groups and the Data Integrity Team to communicate, research and resolve daily data transmission and feed issues.
  4. Review bank account reconciliations, investor files and wire transfers for accuracy.
  5. Apply analytical skills to interpret investment management & servicing agreements, regulations, standard operating procedures and loan documents to ensure accounting and reporting requirements are being met. Prepare applicable journal entries based on reconciliations.
  6. Participate in new investor meetings and assist in creating project plans, working closely with global investors and funds.
  7. Identify efficiencies in reporting and data feeds, writing project plans and taking the lead in execution of the plans.

Responsibilities also include supporting RegAB, SOC1, SOX and other internal and external audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred
- Accounting or Finance experience is required
- Ability to multitask, and prioritize work based on established deadlines
- Basic understanding of database and data structures is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently as well as effectively collaborate in a team
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Accounting Information Systems is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word). PowerBI, and Microsoft SQL would be advantageous
