MICE Sales Manager

Key responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development of annual MICE sales plan and proactively implement with the team.
2. Manage own portfolio of existing and new local and national accounts.
3. Solicit new business in the domestic MICE market.
4. Identify and develop new business in the corporate groups segment, targeting domestic clients.
5. Seek to maximise all revenue opportunities from existing and new accounts through strategic planning and effective account management.
6. Participate in regular sales activities: client visits, site inspections, fam trips, trade shows, sales missions, networking events, etc.
7. Assist in the completion of regular SWOT analysis on competitor hotels.
8. Manage sales projects as per business requirements.
9. Monitor and report on local market conditions.
10. Understand and implement the hotel's yield management strategies for Rooms, Meetings & Events, Food & Beverage outlets.
11. Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing as required.
The ideal candidate:
1. Minimum of two years' proactive / MICE hotel sales experience in a target-driven sales environment.
2. Bachelor's degree with strong business acumen performance.
3. Strong administrative skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
4. Knowledge of the Irish and Dublin corporate market.
5. Knowledge of conference agents / DMCs / PCOs.
6. Sales-focused, target and results-driven, with a proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales targets.
7. Must be a self-starter and strong closer.
8. Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation.
9. Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written reports.
10. A commercial awareness and good understanding of yield management.
11. Confident, ambitious and pro-active, seeks out challenges and is driven by success.
12. Must have the capacity to respond to a fast-paced environment, with proven multi-tasking ability in a changing environment.
