Business Development Manager - Alcohol (Midlands)

Role Scope:

To develop on-trade sales in a defined territory,( Midlands), with responsibility for Sales, Credit Terms, Margin and Profit.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop the territory by managing a call file and securing new customers
- Drive growth through expanding the range that is currently being supplied to existing accounts.
- Deliver and exceed agreed regional and territory sales, profit and margin targets across the region
- Maintain all accounts within Musgrave MarketPlace agreed credit terms.
- Manage all customer contracts within the territory, including managing pricing and range to maximise profitability
- Maintain Territory Management costs within allocated budgets, through good time management, resources management, and the most effective call pattern for each customer.
- Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
- Encourage Customers to avail of the Musgrave On Line Ordering Portal
- Provide accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Ensure the correct product mix in each account thus ensuring maximum profitability.
- Ensure full co-operation via the Regional Sales Manager and Branch General Manager to ensure maximum growth in your specific territory.
- Complete all administration as required including Journey plans, Sales Reports, and Prospect lists

Experience and education:

- Proven track record in proactive field sales within the On-Trade Sector
- Proven experience managing key accounts and group customers / wide network of key operators in on-trade market
- Experience/ knowledge of the Beverage Industry (Competitors/ Range/ Customers)
- Margins / Reports / Geography
- Exceptional Selling skills
- Administration skills, planning and time management skills.
- Forwarding thinking with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Leaving Cert / GCSE.
- Full clean driving licence
