The LIBERTINE LOUNGE & LODGINGS Head Bartender / Bar Supervisor The Libertine opens this November in the heart of Dublin 8. The venue is prominently located on the edge of Portobello in the former Headline Bar and has been completely renovated top to toe. The Libertine will feature a traditional and intimate gastro pub incorporating 14 boutique hotel bedrooms on the upper floors. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Head Bartender / Bar Supervisor to lead the bar operation The Role As Head Bartender / Bar Supervisor, you will take ownership of the bar, ensuring it is always ready for service and run to the highest standard. Your key responsibilities will include: Running daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service during busy cocktail-focused shifts. Stock management overseeing rotation, ordering, and organisation to maintain efficiency and minimise waste. Cleanliness & hygiene setting and maintaining impeccable standards behind the bar and across prep areas. Cocktail service & menu prep delivering consistency and quality while developing seasonal drinks menus. Staff training & supervision coaching the bar team on service, hygiene practices, and product knowledge. Customer experience leading by example in creating a warm, professional, and memorable service for every guest. About You Has extensive cocktail bar experience and a passion for mixology. Is highly organised, with strong attention to detail in stock control and cleanliness. Understands the importance of hygiene and safety standards, and ensures the team upholds them. Brings a leadership style that balances professionalism with approachability. Thrives under pressure, maintaining high standards in a busy, high-volume setting. Cares deeply about delivering an excellent customer experience and building guest loyalty.
