Overview

This role is within Experience & Engineering in Ireland, working in the Healthcare Business Team. We are looking for an experienced, energetic, strategic thinking Martech Consultant who loves their craft. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, able to balance day to day technical delivery with managing and supporting our clients with comms strategy across multiple channels and users.

JOB PURPOSE

As a Senior Martech Consultant, you will work as part of an multidisciplinary team that delivers projects covering all aspects of digital, including UX and UI design, DevOps and infrastructure, backend and frontend development, quality assurance, data and analytics, CRM, marketing automation and business analysis. The role holder, along with the business team and client leadership will own the Martech workstream and relationship with the client.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the implementation and optimisation of multi-channel marketing automation journeys (cross platform)
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) across MarTech; advising internal teams, clients, and partner agencies on data flow, platform capabilities, governance, and best practices for omnichannel communications
- Own the strategic MarTech lens in communications planning, helping stakeholders understand what’s possible within the MarTech stack, and advising on journey logic, personalisation, segmentation, and automation techniques
- Work collaboratively with front-end, back-end, and DevOps teams to scope, troubleshoot, and implement cross-platform integrations—especially in complex or high-security environments
- Champion email development best practices, with a strong technical understanding of deliverability, rendering issues, and what can break in QA pipelines
- Act as a cross-functional bridge, aligning internal teams with external partners and agency stakeholders to drive consistent delivery across a multi-platform MarTech ecosystem
- Support discovery and technical planning for new solutions or campaigns, including on-premise, regulated, or high-security use cases - translating requirements into actionable platform strategies
- Represent the MarTech function in stakeholder and client conversations, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language and facilitating confident decision-making
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including journey maps, integration specs, architectural diagrams, and QA guides
- Work to ensure we anticipate clients’ needs and offer a superb level of service
- Be an active member of the team, supporting colleagues and peers to help achieve overall digital goals for both the Client, Business Team and DEPT

What we are looking for

Must Haves

- Experience working with Adobe Campaign and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Ability to work through technical challenges with team members, clients and partner agencies with varying level of technical expertise
- Actively communicate ideas and information to ensure effective collaboration
- Ability to take a pragmatic approach and compromise to achieve goals in the short term
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive long-term success
- Willingness to get involved in the sometimes messy process and support colleagues on a practical level day to day
- Direct availability to start working in either Ireland or the UK
- Willingness to do occasional travels to the client location or other DEPT offices.
