- Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and global best practices in risk governance.
- Lead the development and delivery of the enterprise-wide annual risk assessment, including scenario analysis and stress testing.
- Review and approve all risk management policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, including CBI requirements for PCF-14 functions.
- Provide risk expertise and guidance to senior leadership and the Board, including preparation of regular management information (“MI”) and reports for governance forums.
- Develop and oversee a risk monitoring programme and carry out periodic risk reviews and testing to ensure that employees and third parties meet the required standards in respect of applicable legislation and internal controls.
- Ensure timely identification and mitigation of emerging risks.
- Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports to the Board of Directors, Risk Committee, and external stakeholders as required.
- Work closely with the Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure robust alignment between risk management and regulatory compliance objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of proactive risk awareness and risk-informed decision-making.
- Provide regular training and support in the area of risk management to the organisation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) on all risk management matters, ensuring effective communication and transparency.
- Lead regulatory reviews and audits relating to the company’s risk management practices.

What you will bring

- Proven expertise in risk management within a regulated financial institution or similar environment, with demonstrated leadership in a PCF-14 role or equivalent.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in enterprise risk management in financial services, fintech, or crypto asset firms.
- Proven track record of operating at a senior level within a second-line risk function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as PRMIA PRM, GARP FRM, or equivalent.
- In-depth understanding of Irish and EU regulatory frameworks, including requirements set by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).
- Familiarity with virtual asset service provider (VASP) regulations and risk considerations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience engaging with Boards and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- High integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Genuine enthusiasm for fintech and crypto, with a forward-looking mindset.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Our toolkit: Google Workspace, Slack, ClickUp, Notion, and other leading platforms.

- Equity package: share in our success
- Zero-fee crypto purchases via on-ramp
- 28+ days holidays
- Health insurance
- Dedicated time off for yearly health check-ups
- Self-development and conference budget
- Internal workshops and activities supporting growth and mental health
