Why Apply for this role ? - Well Established Firm - Flexible Start/Finish Times - Excellent Job Security We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining healthy cash flow through effective credit control. Key Responsibilities Credit Control Monitor and chase outstanding customer payments to maintain agreed debtor days. Issue reminders, statements, and liaise with clients regarding overdue accounts. Resolve payment queries and discrepancies promptly and professionally. Accounts Payable & Receivable Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and authorisation. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. Raise sales invoices and allocate receipts against customer accounts. Banking & Reconciliations Perform daily bank reconciliations. Record and allocate all incoming and outgoing payments accurately. General Ledger & Reporting Assist with month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments. Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports. Administrative & Compliance Duties Maintain accurate records and filing systems (electronic and paper-based). Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements. Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks. Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in an accounts administration or finance role. Strong credit control and debtor management skills. Good knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive customer and supplier interactions professionally. *This role requires 5 days a week in the office
