MTM Engineering has an opportunity for a new Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team in our HQ in Slane, Co. Meath. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to develop their skills in accounts payable while contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of the department. As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will support the team with invoice processing, vendor management, and other key accounts payable functions, ensuring smooth and compliant financial operations.

Responsibilities- Assist with the accurate and timely processing of invoices in line with company policies and procedures.
- Support the maintenance of vendor records, responding to queries, and assisting in resolving any disputes.
- Help facilitate payment runs, ensuring all payments are made on time and in accordance with agreed terms.
- Ensure that all accounts payable documentation is accurately filed and maintained for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assist with the preparation of accounts payable reports, highlighting outstanding invoices and payment cycles.
- Adhere to internal controls, financial regulations, and company policies to ensure compliance across all transactions.
- Work closely with finance, procurement, and other departments to resolve any issues and ensure the timely processing of payments.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in accounts payable or a similar finance administrative role is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with accounting software (ERP systems) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A strong focus on accuracy and a keen eye for spotting discrepancies in invoices and payments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external vendors
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues quickly and efficiently
- Willingness to learn from others and work collaboratively to improve processes
- A valid driving license and personal transport are essential as the office location is not accessible via public transport.
