As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland's most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our team as a Finance Acquisitions Controller, reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation.
- Lead the finance acquisition team in all aspects of acquisition accounting.
- Integrate acquisitions into Musgrave ways of working, improving controls, eliminating risk, and aligning processes where appropriate.
- Build strong partnerships with the acquired finance teams for onboarding and integration.
- Contribute to aligning acquisition integration with broader finance transformation strategies focused on efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision making.
- Support the finance team during periods of significant change and growth, helping embed scalable, standardized, and forward-looking finance processes.
What you'll be doing:
- Building relationships with divisional finance teams to collaborate on integration.
- Managing the journey from acquisition to business-as-usual operations, leveraging existing methodologies and coordinating technical aspects across finance and IT teams.
- Acting as a key link between acquired businesses and Musgrave's transformation initiatives, supporting the delivery of strategic goals.
- Partnering with the Data Analytics team to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within acquisition finance workflows.
- Collaborating with non-finance teams as required to support the acquisition agenda.
- Providing progress updates to Musgrave finance leadership during the integration phase.
- Supporting wider finance projects as needed.
- Championing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the acquisition finance team.
What we're looking for:
- Professional accountancy qualification with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
- Experience working in large-scale organizations, with a track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the ability to build relationships internally, externally, and cross-functionally.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Project and change management skills, with a drive for process and systems excellence.
- Flexible and adaptable to a continuous improvement environment.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and priorities effectively.
- A self-motivated, proactive approach with strong organizational skills to deliver high-quality results.
- Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency with strong attention to detail.
