Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Market Access – Europe to lead and execute the European market access strategy for a growing portfolio in rare diseases. Based in Dublin, Ireland, this is a critical role within a dynamic biotech start-up environment, reporting directly to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies across major European markets (e.g., UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Nordics).
Lead HTA submissions, pricing, and reimbursement processes for rare disease therapies.
Collaborate cross-functionally with medical affairs, regulatory, commercial, and external stakeholders to ensure aligned access objectives.
Build and manage relationships with key payers, HTA bodies, and pricing authorities in Europe.
Monitor and adapt to evolving market access landscapes, policies, and trends across Europe.
Contribute to business development, launch planning, and strategic decision-making from a market access perspective.
Requirements Minimum 10 years of experience in market access within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry , with a strong focus on rare diseases .
Proven track record in leading market access strategies and securing reimbursement in key European markets.
Deep understanding of payer systems, HTA processes, and pricing negotiations across Europe.
Experience working in small, fast-paced organisations or start-ups is preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Based in or willing to relocate to Dublin, Ireland .
