Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Japanese Games Linguist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating and transcreating from English into Japanese player support, community and in-game content for mobile games.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading social games publisher and contribute to the development of engaging and culturally relevant content for Japanese-speaking players.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Native-level Japanese speaker

    With excellent verbal and written linguistic skills both in Japanese and English.

  • Experience in translation, copywriting or linguistics

    A strong background in translation, copywriting, or linguistics, with a focus on Japanese language and culture.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

    The ability to think critically and solve complex problems quickly and efficiently.

  • Familiarity with CAT tool software

    Knowledge of Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tool software, such as Memsource/Phrase, MemoQ, or similar tools.
