Job Title:

A Hospitality Operations Professional

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our hospitality team as a General Operative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise and cooperate with management direction as required throughout the course of your shift.
  • Carry out all duties in all hotel departments as directed under standard operating procedures guidelines and/or as requested by hotel management.
  • Evaluate and address Resident queries promptly and efficiently.
  • Service hotel bedrooms, corridors, public areas, and stairwells as directed by hotel management.
  • Present for reception shifts if needed. Serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and maintain common areas clean and tidy as requested by hotel management and in line with shift pattern issued by hotel management.
  • Aware of food allergens as applicable for residents meals.
  • Shift pattern will be based on 5 days over 7, with a mixture of early/late & weekends, as per the demands of the business.
  • Anticipate Resident needs whenever possible to enhance quality service and ensure comfort of the Residents.
  • Report all Resident feedback to the hotel management.
  • Use initiative in relation to speedy resolution or Resident queries.
Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in maintaining the hotel quality system to ensure consistently high standards of quality throughout the hotel.
  • Evaluate and implement Travelodge standards at all times.
  • Collaborate in achieving periodic targets and goals set out by management.
  • Complete departmental checklists and have them checked by a supervisor before going off duty.
  • Maintain HACCP and Health and Safety adherence at all times.
Flexibility:
  • Accept flexible work schedule including but not limited to mornings, evenings inline with the business demands, on a 5 over 7 day shift pattern including weekends.
  • Be adaptable regarding department and tasks you are requested to perform across the hotel operation.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are reported to the relevant people as soon as possible following the accident/incident or before the end of your shift at the latest.
  • Maintain your work area, Resident area, and areas visible to Residents in a clean, professional, and tidy state.
  • Comply with all requirements laid out in the hotel health and safety policy including property safety walks, attendance at safety briefings, H&S training etc.
Communication:
  • Attend team, department, and staff meetings as required.
  • Establish good communication lines with colleagues & Managers.
