About the Role

As a Community Support Professional, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team promoting independence and social inclusion for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate professionals to provide person-centred support in community-based settings. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, autism, and complex needs
  • Assisting with daily living tasks and promoting independence
  • Managing challenging behaviours and providing de-escalation techniques
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Level 7 QQI qualification in Social Care Studies (or equivalent in Health/Social Care)
  • At least 1 year's experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Experience managing or responding to challenging behaviours
  • Strong understanding of adult safeguarding legislation and national social care policies
  • Full, clean manual driver's licence and access to own car
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
