About the Role

">

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the purchasing function to ensure material supply in line with production schedules.

">
  • Responsibility for Materials Planning & Procurement for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.">
  • Manage the Purchasing function to ensure timely delivery of materials in line with production schedules.">
  • Coordinate the purchasing process and collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.">
  • BOM / Item Master Management.">
  • Customer Relationship Management and primary point of contact for distribution centers.">
  • Scenario planning.">
  • Coordinate materials aspect for NPIs.">
  • Work with Supply Chain members to meet target performance on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).">
  • Inventory Management and Control (including cycle count process).">
  • Liaise with transportation companies regarding deliveries.">
  • Schedule deliveries within warehouse capacities.">
  • Project implementation in line with specific objectives.">

The position will require communication with various stakeholders, including:

">
  • Contacts with all levels of management within the facility.">
  • Contacts with personnel in other affiliates, especially in planning, shipping, distribution, and marketing.">
">

Coordinate the purchase of non-inventory items required to meet operational needs at the lowest total cost of ownership levels.

Requirements

">

Certificate/Diploma/Degree in a related field, or IPICS / IIPMM.

">

Appropriate qualification in either Purchasing/ Production Planning, e.g., Diploma in Purchasing or relevant APICS examinations.

">

Excellent Computer skills.

">

Excellent planning and organizational skills.

">

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

">

Excellent attention to detail.

">

At least two years' experience in production planning in a manufacturing company, preferably previous experience with planning short shelf life products.

">

A high level of expertise is required in solving scheduling, logistics, expediting, and purchasing problems.
