Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred support to individuals with varying levels of need, promoting independence, dignity, and respect. This will involve developing and implementing individualised plans, working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies, and maintaining accurate records.

You will also be required to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure that the needs of service users are met at all times. This may involve participating in centre outings, supporting individuals with daily living tasks, and providing emotional support and guidance when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certified in QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Community/Health or Social Care.
  • A minimum of one year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
