Executive Director Job Opportunity

The Writers' Guild of Ireland is seeking a skilled and ambitious Executive Director (CEO) to lead the organization forward. This part-time position (25 hours per week) offers the chance to drive change and growth in the film, TV, and theatre sectors.

Job Description

As Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the organization, building strong relationships with writers nationally and internationally, and promoting the interests of writers within the publicly funded arts sector.

Key Requirements
  • At least 3 years of management experience, preferably in the film, TV, or theatre industry
  • Strong negotiation and lobbying skills to effectively advocate for writers' rights and interests
  • Practical understanding of the Irish film, TV, and theatre sectors, including the needs of writers working within these contexts
  • Candidates from outside the arts sector with transferable skills are also encouraged to apply
