Job Opportunity

The role of Quality Nursing Manager is a pivotal position that plays a key part in the leadership and support of quality, compliance, and governance across a group of nursing homes in the Midlands region. Working closely with Persons in Charge (PICs) and senior management, this individual ensures all services meet regulatory requirements and reflect the organisation's commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on HIQA compliance and regulatory best practices
  • Lead internal audits, develop corrective action plans, and oversee follow-up activities
  • Support policy development, staff training, and continuous quality improvement
  • Mentor and develop staff, promoting a culture of learning, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee safeguarding practices, risk management, and incident reporting across the group
  • Analyse and report on quality metrics, contributing to organisational planning and development

Candidate Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
  • Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, quality, or clinical governance
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a quality, governance, or compliance role within healthcare
  • In-depth knowledge of HIQA standards and best practice in person-centred care
  • Proven expertise in audits, risk management, staff mentoring, and policy development
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
