Job Summary

The Health and Safety Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping our organization's health and safety strategy.

  • This involves collaborating with the Health and Safety Director to develop and refine a comprehensive approach that prioritizes employee well-being and safety.
  • The successful candidate will lead the Health and Safety function, driving site-level delivery of the strategy and fostering a culture of accountability and responsibility.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and site-level personnel.
  • Drive business growth by implementing innovative occupational health, wellbeing, and behavioural programmes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of training programmes to enhance staff competencies and promote a culture of excellence.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of leadership experience in a similar role within construction or civil engineering, with a strong focus on influencing senior management and site-level operations.
  • Hold a NEBOSH Diploma, degree, or NVQ5 (or equivalent), demonstrating a deep understanding of health and safety principles and practices.
  • Experience with developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading best practices and technologies to support innovation and continuous improvement.
