Senior IT Business Analyst Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the success of IT projects by facilitating effective communication between business and technical teams, managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle, and supporting the timely delivery of IT solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, Project Managers, and IT Teams, to gather and document detailed business requirements. Use techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis to identify needs. Translate business needs into clear, concise functional and non-functional requirements. Develop use cases, process flows, wireframes, and mock-ups to illustrate requirements.
  • Collaboration with IT Project Managers and Change Managers: Define project scope, objectives and deliverables; assist in project planning including resource allocation, timeline estimation and risk management; support tracking progress and risk mitigation; provide regular updates to stakeholders on requirement changes and impacts.
  • Business Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyse current processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement; design optimised workflows supported by new IT solutions; document process changes using business process modelling techniques; collaborate with change managers to train and support business users.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation such as Business Requirements Documents and Functional/Non-functional Requirements; document lessons learned and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines is crucial.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and clarity in documentation is necessary.
