Job Title: Procurement Specialist

About the Role
  • This position involves working within a seasoned purchasing department, ensuring seamless procurement operations.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for raising supplier purchase orders, providing administrative support in maintaining purchasing/supplier files & business terms, and collaborating with the logistics department to manage urgent demands.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage product database accuracy and ensure it's up-to-date with PO due dates, pricing, and shipping lists.
  • Source cost-effective freight services that meet required deadlines.
  • Process goods receipts, investigate supplier account queries, and create stock and supplier reports.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee smooth transactions.
Key Skills:
  • A third-level qualification in purchasing or business is essential.
  • Previous experience in a busy purchasing environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
  • A confident, professional manner and excellent telephone skills are expected.
