The Job

This key leadership role oversees the operations activities within a pivotal manufacturing area, reporting directly to the site director. As a critical member of the senior leadership team, you will develop and implement the overall strategic direction for the site.

You will be accountable for delivering high-quality products on time, efficiently, and safely by creating and executing operating plans across various areas and teams in our Cork manufacturing plant.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Operations Management: Develop production strategies that align with business goals, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Operational Excellence & Lean Expertise: Lead operational excellence programs, including Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on reducing waste and improving process efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Strongly lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, enabling autonomous teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Drive the adoption of advanced technologies (e.g., automation, digital twins, predictive analytics) to enhance production capabilities, improve efficiency, and maintain competitiveness.
  • Change Management Skills: Drive organizational change initiatives, fostering adaptability and resilience among all teams.
  • Advanced Budgeting & Financial Acumen: Develop and manage large-scale Operations budgets, controlling costs, and making strategic financial decisions.
Requirements
  • A degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Science, Engineering, or related/equivalent field is required.
  • Prior experience in Plant Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or relevant strategic functions is essential, preferably with 5-10 years of progressive leadership roles leading multifunctional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, establish, and complete a strategic and cultural vision by inspiring change across multifunctional teams and the broader organization.
