Social Care Worker

We are seeking qualified and compassionate professionals to provide exceptional care to service users with intellectual disabilities in North Cork and Co Limerick.

  • Ensuring the service users' needs are being met
  • Teaching daily living and social skills through activities
  • Maintaining positive relationships with service users
  • Engaging in activities and completing household tasks
  • Keeping accurate records of service user documentation

Applicants should have a degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or relevant qualification, CORU registration, and experience working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities. A full manual driving license is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, supervise staff/service users, and possess good organisation and communication skills.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with service users. We require candidates who can maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information discreetly, and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Successful applicants will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling them to effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and service users. They must also be physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, which includes manual handling and lifting.
