Job Title: Facilities Management Specialist

This role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of various systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead daily team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and assign tasks as needed.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with maintenance and repairs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure the best possible terms.
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders on maintenance progress and task completion.
  • Oversee project delivery to ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a facilities management or maintenance management role.
  • Excellent knowledge of maintenance systems, including BMS, HVAC, electrical and mechanical plant services, and emergency systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly, with excellent leadership and people management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Full driving licence.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, business administration, or a related field.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to sites and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

They must also have a full driving licence and be able to travel freely.
