Job Overview

Pavement specialists are crucial to the asphalt construction industry, ensuring pavements meet strict design and construction standards. This includes designing pavement thickness, material selection, and maintenance procedures.

A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is often preferred, although relevant work experience is also considered valuable. Registration as a Professional Engineer is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate technical information to clients, public, and private entities through written reports, presentations, and events.
  • Conduct site assessments, including project reviews, pavement design recommendations, and post-construction evaluations.
  • Represent industry interests before government agencies, committees, and associations.
  • Develop training programs, provide instruction, and deliver technical presentations on pavement design and construction.
  • Assist in creating technical publications and articles on pavement engineering.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based communication tools.
  • Working knowledge of pavement design, construction, and materials science.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
