Senior VAT Director Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing tax team at a pivotal stage of its development journey. Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting a Senior VAT Director to contribute to the enhancement of our indirect tax service offering.

The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to serve a variety of international and domestic clients across diverse sectors. A key aspect of the role will be collaborating with existing senior management to develop and improve the firm's indirect tax capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technically sound, clear, and commercially-focused advice on indirect tax matters.
  • Manage a portfolio of indirect tax clients and oversee a compliance portfolio.
  • Work with senior management to enhance and grow the firm's indirect tax service offering.
  • Contribute to the operational management of the tax business, taking responsibility for specific areas as required.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other member firms on cross-border projects and business development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of technical knowledge and training of staff on indirect taxes.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a senior management role in practice.
  • Comprehensive VAT technical knowledge and experience.
  • Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.
  • A track record of business development, with the ability to convert relationships into fee-paying work.
  • Self-motivated and capable of leading a team.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
