Job Title

A Management Accountant role is available in a dynamic finance function.

You will be responsible for owning the month end accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet, and financial reporting for several cost centres. This involves preparing and completing monthly performance reporting packs for management, analysing performance across multiple principal accounts, highlighting variances, trends, risks, and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • FP&A - preparation and completion of monthly performance reporting packs for management with analysis of performance across multiple principal accounts - highlighting variances, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Providing Revenue and margin reports and analytics by product, Business Unit, and customer.
  • Preparation of support schedules and reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Monthly GL and accounts reconciliation, preparation and processing monthly journals.
  • Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process.

To deliver a best-in-class finance function, you will proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with key stakeholders to track KPI targets, evaluate opportunities, and develop actionable insight that drives business value.

Additionally, you will assist with implementing automatic processes to reduce manual tasks and continually improve efficiency for the team.

Requirements:
  • A qualified accountant with experience in FMCG is required. Relevant qualifications include ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel.
  • Order to cash process experience is critical.
  • Experience in deploying and developing ERP platforms such as Microsoft AX or SAP.
  • Process improvement experience that can add automated processes improving accuracy & consistency through the P&L and Balance Sheet.

The ideal candidate will bring strong numeric and analytical skills, commercial acumen, and experience of preparing sets of Management accounts and Balance sheet reconciliations. Strong communication skills are also essential to effectively interact with various stakeholders including operations, field sales, promotional & marketing, and commercial teams, as well as externally with customers and principals.

Analytical with a strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

This is a highly commercial role where you will be working closely with senior management to drive business decisions. You will need to have a strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and procedures.
