Maintenance Operative – Handyman

The primary function of this role is to undertake maintenance and upkeep tasks for large commercial buildings and outdoor facilities. This involves carrying out general repairs to both building fabric and services.

As part of a team of 6, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality maintenance services. Comprehensive training in all areas of facilities management will be provided, including health and safety and other essential skills.

Key responsibilities include detailed knowledge and experience of maintenance routines and scheduled inspections. This encompasses fire detection and alarm systems, fire hydrants and extinguishers.

Applicants should possess a minimum of a Leaving Certificate qualification or equivalent in a trade, as well as previous experience in a maintenance or facility services role. A minimum of 2 years' experience is also required.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of performing scheduled inspections on life systems, such as fire detection and alarm systems, fire hydrants and extinguishers.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Leaving Certificate qualification or equivalent in a trade

  • At least 2 years' experience in maintenance or facility services
