Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and organized individual who can prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals that meet patient dietary requirements. As a Healthcare Chef, you will lead or support daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, hygiene, and consistency. You will also mentor and guide kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals that meet patient dietary requirements.
  • Leading or supporting daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, hygiene, and consistency.
  • Mentoring and guiding kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
  • Managing inventory, food storage, labelling, and waste control.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Qualified Chef (QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent).
  • Experience in hospital kitchens, healthcare catering, or high-volume catering.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, and cook-chill procedures.
  • Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
