Reinsurance Broker Job Summary

As a Reinsurance Broker, you will play a key role in managing and developing a portfolio of reinsurance clients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored solutions and maintain long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of reinsurance clients, providing personalized services and maintaining lasting relationships
  • Lead or support the placement of reinsurance programs across various lines, including property, liability, energy, and other specialist sectors
  • Liaise closely with underwriters, clients, and global reinsurance markets to negotiate terms and structure coverage
  • Attend client meetings and contribute to new business opportunities, proposals, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Support the ongoing development of internal processes, placement documentation, and technical delivery standards
  • Maintain accurate records, submissions, and reports in line with compliance and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a reinsurance, broking, or underwriting environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of at least one of: property, casualty, energy, specialist lines, or treaty/facultative reinsurance
  • Proven experience engaging with clients and building strong relationships
  • Commercially minded with the ability to contribute to business development activities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of placement documentation
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused environment
