Risk Assessment Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth risk assessments on high-risk clients, encompassing politically exposed persons and complex corporate structures.
  • Analyse beneficial ownership patterns to identify ultimate beneficial owners and control relationships.
  • Evaluate source of wealth and source of funds information for high-net-worth individuals and entities.
  • Perform thorough adverse media screenings and assess reputational and financial crime risks.
  • Prepare detailed enhanced due diligence reports with clear risk evaluations and recommendations.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as Finance, Law, Accounting, or Information Systems.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in brokerage or corporate banking environment with onboarding or reviewing high-risk client relationships.
  • Relevant financial crime qualification ICA or ACAMS is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong research, investigatory, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to provide risk-based recommendations and articulate those persuasively.
  • Prior experience in a highly automated environment and/or high degree of computer proficiency.
  • Intermediate experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
