Road Construction Specialist

The client is seeking a confident Civil Engineer to work on civils projects such as roads/groundworks based in Wicklow and Dublin areas.
The successful candidate will be familiar with the project plan, ensuring site specifications and designs are checked regularly. They must have knowledge & experience in setting out and GPS.
- Liaise with the Project Manager
- Be familiar with the Project Plan, ensuring site specifications and designs are checked regularly
- Complete daily setting out and surveying duties
- Supervise and mentor site staff
- Ensure work is completed safely and reaching deadlines
- Attend Site Meetings
- CARRY OUT TOOLBOX TALKS AND HEALTH & SAFETY BRIEFINGS
- Liaise with Site Management and sub-contractors
- Assist in coordinating Plant, Machinery and Materials
- Ensure Waste is safely and appropriately disposed off
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
- Ensure all staff have received site inductions
The ideal candidate should possess a Civil Engineering Degree and 1-3 plus years' experience in a similar position especially in road construction. They should also have strong experience in Setting Out/measuring and excellent communication skills.
