Process Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our team. This role will play a key part in improving the manufacturing of product and developing the most optimum moulding process and tooling and automation that meets or exceeds customer requirements.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for introducing new products into our operations and compiling standard specifications for each process, ensuring all production is monitored to standard specifications.
  • Ensures process optimization using statistical techniques and works with the Production Group Leaders in troubleshooting processing problems.
  • Establishes relationships with customers and Equipment/Raw Material suppliers to drive continuous improvement and business development.
  • Solves customer-related problems/issues in conjunction with the Quality department as needed.
  • Instructs others regarding manufacturing skills or knowledge and assists in training employees on new processes or systems introduced.
  • Communicates regularly with external suppliers of materials and equipment, providing feedback on any issues to the management team.
  • Performs additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor.


Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum of a National Diploma in Plastics Engineering (preferably a Degree in Engineering) and at least 4–5 years' experience in the injection moulding industry.
  • Good knowledge of Injection Mold tooling and design.
  • Good knowledge of Injection Moulding (standard process and multi-component), Processing, Ancillary equipment and automation systems.
  • Experience in Medical, Packaging or Technological industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of real-time monitoring systems preferred.
  • Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to accurately document work performed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel as required by the position.
