Asset Performance Specialist

The Asset Performance Specialist is responsible for improving asset management and maintenance through technical support of the maintenance function.

As the primary owner of the Asset Maintenance Strategy, this specialist will analyse equipment history and apply technical skills to correct equipment problems causing repetitive failures.

Working closely with colleagues within the Engineering Centre of Excellence, the Asset Performance Specialist will provide expert advice on improving Equipment Reliability, Risk Based Asset Management, and Cost Management.

This role involves developing engineering solutions to prevent costly equipment problems, maintaining the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) program, and reducing and improving maintenance work to assure efficient operation of plant, process, and equipment.

Benchmarking emerging technologies and techniques:

  • Identify trends and patterns in maintenance data.
  • Utilise CMMS knowledge to enhance maintenance operations.
  • Apply analytics experience to improve equipment reliability.
  • Build relationships with project stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations.

To succeed in this role, candidates should hold an engineering degree qualification, preferably mechanical or electrical, and possess +5 years of professional experience, with +3 years of experience working in a similar industrial environment or as a consultant being desirable.
